Zahra Ahmed (Ph.D., MSW) has over 20 years’ experience in the fields of civic engagement, community organizing and social policy analysis. Dr. Ahmed has provided research and evaluation services as well as facilitation and policy analysis to organizations in Georgia and across Southern California. She also serves as the CEO for ONECommunity Consulting, a community based consulting firm specializing in youth engagement and leadership development. Zahra earned her MSW from Georgia State University with a focus on community partnerships and her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine with a focus on civic and community engagement. She currently teaches at the university level while also serving as Director of International Student Excellence Programs at the University of California, Irvine. She is a state-certified Conflict Mediator and she is trained in Diversity & Inclusion, Cultural Competence, Teaching Men of Color, and Restorative Justice.​
