Valerie Holton, PhD, LCSW is the executive editor of CUMU’s Metropolitan Universities (MUJ), a quarterly online journal for scholarship on cutting-edge issues impacting urban and metropolitan universities and colleges. Additionally, in her role as CUMU’s Senior Fellow, Valerie works with the organization’s executive director and board to plan and undertake strategic efforts that advance the organization’s core mission and build capacity within its membership network.

As the principal of Holton Consulting, LLC (www.ValerieHolton.com), Valerie helps institutions of higher education, non-profit organizations and their communities work better together to educate engaged citizens, generate new knowledge and build community wealth.
