Lorna Schwartzentruber is the Associate Director of Access Programs and Community Engagement in the Office of the Vice-Provost Academic at York University, supporting York’s commitment to build a more engaged university. Prior to that she was Manager of the York-TD Community Engagement Centre, our satellite in the Jane and Finch community of Toronto. She brings over 25 years of experience working in the community benefit and NGO sectors, broadly in the areas of organizational leadership, community development, and coalition/partnership building for systemic change, including poverty reduction, child welfare, and Indigenous rights and solidarity. She has worked in university-community engagement for the past 6 years and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto.
